Journey So Far
The RK Group has come a long way since 1978 when our parent company, Umesh Trading Company, was founded by our grandfather Shri Ramavtar Goyal. Initially, the company was dealing in Engineering & Mechanical products in Gandhidham, Kutch. In the 1980s, we gained the agency for Oxygen and other Industrial gases from Inox Air Products.
In 1990, we started our first plant in Rajkot, manufacturing Oxygen and Nitrogen gas. In 2001, Kutch Gases Pvt. Ltd. was founded in Bhachau, Kutch, also manufacturing Oxygen and Nitrogen gas. The production capacity doubled in 2005. In 2007, we began manufacturing gases such as CO2 and Argon.
In 2011, FDCA, Gandhidham, permitted us to manufacture Medical Oxygen gas. We received permission from PESO for Hydro testing of CNG & Hydrogen gas cylinders in 2013 and the refilling of Inert Gases @ 200 & 300 BAR in 2015. In 2017, we started manufacturing Hydrogen gas.
Our journey continues to this day, with the recent establishment of new units in Mundra (2018), Ahmedabad (2021), Morbi (2022) and Gandhidham (GIDC) (2023).
